A Precise Drain Problem Diagnosis & the Right Fix

Here’s another story of our trustworthy plumbers in Toronto coming to save the day, this time in the North York-Don Mills-Bridle Path area of the city.

Our storm drain backed up and flooded our basement with a recent thunderstorm we had here in Toronto.

I called DrainWorks plumbers from Toronto on Monday AM and they said that they could have a technician over to my place in the afternoon. Mike Dunn arrived Monday afternoon, earlier than promised, and diagnosed the problem as a plugged storm drain that was causing the water to back up into a floor drain in our basement. He arranged for a repair crew to be there the next morning to complete the unplugging & repairs.

AT 8:00AM Tuesday, Mike was here again on time, and just moments later Evegenyi & Igor arrived and began to dig. 2.5 hours and 6 feet later they had removed the plugged storm drain from under the ground, which was exactly where Mike said it would be.

They installed a couple of clean outs and back-filled the excavation, leaving my yard exactly as they had found it. While Evegenyi & Igor were back-filling, Mike offered to check up on the rest of the drains in the house.

They were done by about 2:30 PM. The work was done as promised and for the price quoted and I had the peace of mind of knowing that the rest of the drains in the house were in pretty good shape. There’s nothing like working with professionals who really know what they’re doing.
